Runway into My Fist - Top Model Fight

It’s a shame this didn’t make it on the air, but a fight broke out in New York while hopeful models auditioned for Tyra Banks’ Top Model reality series.
According to CBC news (yeah, that’s Canada, eh), thousands of women were lined up overnight (I’m sure those high heels started to hurt) outside of the Park Central New York Hotel. If that didn’t signal trouble, I don’t know what would.
I think I would prefer to see gang members hanging out than potentially explosive, underfed twenty-somethings who will do anything to be famous–including clawing the eyes out of their competition.
Two wannabe models were injured seriously enough in the riot to be taken to the hospital. The aftermath visual image reported by CBC News is hilarious: The street outside the hotel was littered with shoes and clothing from people who had tried to escape the melee.
Can you picture the terror of being a passerby, not knowing what the hell is going on as gorgeous woman after gorgeous woman is taking swings at each other? If this happened during mid-noon you would have had New York construction workers taking their lunch breaks across the way whistling until their lips were sore.
Tyra Banks always has said that she’s about knocking down stereotypes concerning beauty. Maybe that’s not the issue. Maybe these women, beautiful or not, have the wrong goals in life.
But then it’s hard to walk away from money, fame and lording over all your envious friends…
